Okayyyy, I am the very first to admit, I am not winters biggest fan. I am not a winter sports person, although I wish I was that cool. I hate driving in the snow/ice death traps. Cozied up inside with a good book, a cup of tea is where you can find me.
However, shooting in the snow is one thing that will quickly get me outdoors. There’s something about the way the light bounces and plays with the snow that evokes me. This first couple happens to be my best friend, and it was a spontaneous shoot on a day that the sun was shining and the snow was fresh. We jumped at the opportunity to get some vitamin D and play in the snow.
The second couple decided sledding was the best way to enjoy the snow. So we grabbed a little red saucer and piled on. Watching them wiggle and snuggle all the way down the sledding hill was epic. It was recently their 5 year anniversary of being married, so it was extra special to be able to get to capture their anniversary in such a fun and adventurous way that really represented their fun love.
The way snow and light mix is just so much fun for me to experience with. Even though I love me a warm summer evening and some golden light, there is something to be said for a good snowy couples session.
